  • ABC & 123

    contact local schools to get in touch with the parents about donating old uniforms when the children outgrow them or change schools.  These will then be laundered and re-issued for a nominal fee to families on low or no income.  Run by volunteers this project will teach things like hygiene, customer service, stock control and retail

  • You’re Not Alone

    project to support lonely women in the community of all ages. Groups meet on a weekly basis for tea and coffee and a chat, activities and trips will be organised by volunteers and the groups themselves with a hot lunch provided one a month

  • Knitting & Stitching

    weekly knitting and sewing group of all age groups where the women can share their skills with those who are unable to knit or crochet. In time hopefully they will make items which can be sold to generate income

  • Women Into Work

    personal development and confidence building workshops covering employments skills, interview techniques, how to present for an interview “dress for success” ending with a “makeover”.

  • You Shall Go To The Ball

    Contact schools and parents for donations on Prom gowns.  We will launder them and then donate or sell for a nominal fee to  girls whose families could not otherwise afford for them to go to their Prom

  • iron It Out

    a pilot project to ascertain whether or not it would be feasible to set up an ironing project covering the town center and SA1
